The best way to avoid this problem is by using an Epimax utility that analyzes your indexes for excessive length before midnight during maintenance windows; those with more than 10% indexing beyond what’s considered healthy (less than 2%) need not worry since we offer online rebuilds as well!
Monitor OS & SQL Instance W/ PerfMon Counters
Daily, Epimax will monitor your production servers using Performance Monitor counters for CPU/Memory usage. We’ll also take an eye on SQL server statistics such as user connections and transactions per second in order to provide you with some insight into how well it is running from our side!
